Stefan is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where he is responsible for the Chambers’ financial operations, budget management, and aligning financial performance with strategy.
Prior to the Chamber, Freiberg was the Chief Financial Officer of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). While at ICSC Stefan was responsible to for leading the transformation across finance and operations of the $80M trade association. During his tenure, he led strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, improve member experience, and diversify revenue.
Prior to ICSC, Freiberg worked for 15 years at the professional services firm Deloitte, where he was responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives on behalf of the Global Chief Operating Officer, as well as the US Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Freiberg, a graduate of American University, resides in Takoma Park, MD with his wife and two children.
