Carl Pompei

Executive Vice President and CFO, AnthroTronix, Inc.
Mr. Pompei is a senior executive with over 30 years experience as a founder and Chief Executive Officer of three successful high technology start-up companies.  Since 2001, Mr. Pompei has served as the Executive Vice President of AnthroTronix, Inc. a R&D and engineering company in Silver Spring, Maryland specializing in advanced interface technology development for Defense, Health, Education, and commercial applications. ATI has developed numerous products, including DANA™, which is the first Neurocognitive Assessment Tool to have received 510(k) clearance from the FDA, In April 2015, DANA won an Edison Award Gold Medal in the neuroscience category.
In 1987, he co-founded Mass Microsystems, Inc., a computer peripherals manufacturer for storage and video products for Apple Macintosh Computers where he served as President and CEO.  In two years, revenues exceeded $25 million and he took the company through an IPO in 1989.  In 1992 the company merged with RAMTEK Corp., a NASDAQ company. 
In the early 1970’s Mr. Pompei founded NBK Corporation, a privately held manufacturer of microphotolithographic tools, specialty silicon wafers and testing products for the semiconductor industry.  In 1982, he merged NBK’s Photomask Division with Sierracin Corp., an AMEX Company and sold the Silicon Wafer Division to Kawasaki Steel Co. Mr. Pompei acquired the third division, Probe Technology Corp., in a leveraged buyout, and merged it 4 years later with Micro Mask Corporation, a NASDAQ company. Mr. Pompei has held various engineering and manufacturing management positions at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, General Micro Electronics, American Microsystems, and Drexler Technology. He served in the US Navy as an instructor of surface-to-surface guided missile systems. Mr. Pompei served on the “Presidents Private Sector Survey of Cost Control” (Grace Commission) during the Reagan Administration. He is a co-founder and Director Emeritus of the Private Sector Council in Washington, DC, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving financial and operational management within Federal Government agencies.
