Google Drive

Google Drive is one of the best options for businesses that already use Google products. The free plan comes with 15 GB of storage space, which is more than enough for most people.

You can use Google Drive to store documents, audio files, images and videos, and you can access this information from any device.

Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive is Microsoft’s free file storage system and comes with 5 GB of storage. If this isn’t enough storage space for you, you can upgrade to 100 GB for just $1.99 per month.

If you’re already an Office 365 user, then you have access to up to 6 TB of storage for up to six users. Plus, Office users receive access to a whole host of other productivity tools.

Amazon Drive

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, then you already have access to Amazon Drive. This free plan comes with unlimited photo storage and 5 GB of video storage.

When you enable Auto-Save on Amazon Drive, you can automatically back up files from your mobile device. And if you need more storage, you can access up to 1 TB for just $60 a year, which is still pretty inexpensive.

Box

Box doesn’t offer a free business plan, but you can sign up for the free individual plan. This plan comes with 10 GB of storage and a 250 GB file upload limit.

Box makes it easy to transfer files from your PC to the cloud. It also integrates seamlessly with Office 365, so it’s a good fit for current Office users.

ShareFile

ShareFile is the file-sharing solution offered by Citrix, and it’s designed specifically for enterprise companies. With ShareFile, you can store, share and collaborate over documents from any device.

ShareFile doesn’t offer a free plan, but there is a free 30-day trial so you can see if it’s the right fit for your business. It’s one of the best options for companies that need a secure way to share highly sensitive information.

One of the advantages of using Dropbox is that you can recover any deleted files within 30 days.

Dropbox

Dropbox tends to cater more to consumers, but it’s not a bad option for businesses. The free plan comes with 2 GB of storage, and the software is easy to use thanks to its intuitive design.

One of the advantages of using Dropbox is that you can recover any deleted files within 30 days. And if you edit a document but then want to access an earlier version, you can roll back to any saved version from the past 30 days.

Zoho Docs

Zoho Docs is free for teams of up to 25 people, comes with 5 GB of free file storage, and integrates with other Zoho products. Many people find Zoho Docs similar to Google Drive, but the mobile app capabilities are a bit more limited.

Zippyshare

Zippyshare is a free file-sharing tool with no download or upload limits, and you don’t even have to create an account to get started. You can use Zippyshare to upload and share files with anyone.

However, there are some drawbacks to using Zippyshare. First, you can only upload files up to 500 MB. Most importantly, all of the uploaded files will be deleted from their servers within 30 days. Zippyshare may not be a bad place to start, but it’s probably not the best long-term business solution.

Jumpshare

Jumpshare lets you share screenshots, GIFs, videos and files from their visual platform. To get started, you simply drag and drop your files and then you’ll receive a shareable link. Users can comment and tag each other within the documents, which saves you from back-and-forth emails.

Hightail

If you regularly need to get feedback on documents or upload large files, Hightail is a good choice. The software is designed for team collaboration, and it makes it easy to add new files to the platform.

However, the free plan is pretty limited with only 2 GB of storage and a 100 MB file limit. If you find that you want to continue to use Hightail, you’ll likely have to upgrade to one of the paid plans.
