Daniel (Dan) Mahoney, executive director of the Native American Enterprise Initiative at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, represents our tribal membership on issues related to tribal sovereignty, economic development, energy, and taxation before congressional leaders and the administration. Mahoney is responsible for developing the Chamber’s tribal legislative policy as well as executing it.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Mahoney worked in the Massachusetts Legislature for a decade on a variety of issues including state budget transparency, affordable housing, educational funding reform, and health care payment reform.
Mahoney studied Middle East politics at Northeastern University, received his bachelor’s degree in history from Framingham State University, and earned his master’s degree in international relations from Boston University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
