Doris M. Davis, is Sr. Marketing Manager for Business Member Acquisition at Sam’s Club.
Her focus is on strategically growing SMB memberships and partnerships with Sam’s Club. In this role, Doris has received the company’s “Get Uncomfortable Award” for being a leading change agent for exceeding expectations and overcoming obstacles. In her prior role at Sam’s Club, Doris led the marketing team driving Health & Wellness solutions, where she launched the company’s partnership with Aetna, led the company’s The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) efforts, and launched the company’s largest discount program for prescription medications. Her healthcare expertise grew the company’s share of market and expanded the footprint of optical, hearing aid, and pharmacy specialty departments.
Doris has had a very diverse and long-standing career within the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and is an industry expert in new product launches and multicultural marketing. Doris worked at the Coca-Cola Company, launching new products for non-carbonated beverages. Doris led Colgate-Palmolive’s multicultural efforts – growing relevancy and market share with the U.S.’ Hispanic and African-American consumers. Doris was instrumental in Walmart’s global initiatives, while at Colgate, by introducing and importing top personal care products from Mexico and Latin America to Walmart’s top Hispanic stores. Retail-taiment events included signing spokespersons Myrka Dellanos, Alex Rodriguez, and B. Smith to leverage engagement and expertise across personal and household care categories.
While at Tyson, Doris worked in Innovations & New Products, launching more than 100 new items for national restaurant accounts, on-premise healthcare, hotels, college and more than 50 of the top K-12 school districts.
A reoccurring theme throughout Doris’s career is her ability to forge strategic partnerships. In addition to working across national boundaries, Doris has worked on innovation platforms and partnerships with top consumer packaged goods powerhouses P&G, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, Georgia-Pacific, Salesforce, and more to launch creative and product platforms.
Doris has served as a board member for the Association of Healthcare Foodservice (AHF), advisory member to Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), and is one of the charter members of the NWA NAACP chapter.
Doris is a graduate of Syracuse University and has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Doris, her husband Kim, and two children reside in Fayetteville, AR.
