Dr. Mikael Lindvall is technology director at Fraunhofer USA, Inc., Center for Experimental Software Engineering. Since 1999, Dr. Lindvall has led the Center’s development of analysis methods and tools and has worked with industry and government to analyze a wide range of systems such as medical devices, medical and health systems, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) systems. He has evaluated systems for security issues and served as the principal investigator of successful software assurance research projects for NASA, including projects on model-based testing, testing for off-nominal conditions, and security testing. Lindvall serves as the principal investigator of a NASA project on cybersecurity threat modeling. He teaches graduate courses at the University of Maryland, College Park.
