Elisabeth Barna is executive vice president of industry affairs and senior adviser to the president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the nation’s leading organization representing the interests of the trucking industry.

Barna is responsible for ATA’s industry affairs, internal and member communications, and the overall operations of the organization. She works with the state trucking associations and ATA’s membership and departments to develop initiatives for the trucking industry. She leads the ATA future leaders program, LEAD ATA, America’s Road Team, Share the Road, and the Trucking Moves America Forward campaigns.

She rejoined ATA in December 2005, after serving as director of communications at the Motor Freight Carriers Association.

Previous experience includes working at ATA as director of legislative affairs and for the Grocery Manufacturers of America (now the Consumer Brands Association), where she focused on state legislative affairs and member communications.

Barna received her B.A. in human resource management and business at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
