On February 23, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) hosted a discussion to explore ILR’s mission, strategies fto build diversity in the field of corporate law, and connecting these goals with the next generation of students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

ILR President Harold Kim kicked off the program with a fireside chat with Markus Green, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Pfizer. U.S. Chamber’s Senior Vice President for Strategic Alliances and Outreach, Rick Wade then hosted a panel of legal industry experts and discussed the importance of diversity in the workplace. Panel speakers included, Former Attorney General of Georgia Thurbert Baker, Partner, Dentons;  Danielle Holley-Walker, Professor of Law and Dean of Howard Law School; Susie Lees Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, Allstate Insurance Company; and Kim Phillips, General Counsel, Global Litigation, Shell Oil Company.
