James E. (Jim) Stephenson is chairman and chief executive officer of Yancey Bros. Co., a 100-year-old family business that offers Caterpillar and Blue Bird products, parts, and service at 25 facilities in 19 communities across the state of Georgia.
Stephenson assumed leadership of Yancey Bros. Co. in 1994 after an 18-year tenure as a lawyer with the Atlanta law firm Smith, Currie & Hancock.
Stephenson serves on several boards and advisory councils including The Wesleyan School, Shepherd Center, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the Georgia Transportation Alliance. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a law degree from Duke University. He and his wife, Donna Yancey Stephenson, have three grown children and live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Jim enjoys playing golf and fly fishing.
