J.D. Harrison is the Executive Director for Strategic Communications at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he leads a team that specializes in marketing, advertising, digital content, social media and overall communications strategy. The Strategic Communications team works with our partners throughout the organization to plan and execute an array of communications projects and campaigns. 

J.D. previously covered small business, entrepreneurship and public policy for The Washington Post, where he helped launch and later ran the Post's On Small Business Blog. OSB was later ranked by Forbes as one of the nation's must-read publications for small business owners. Before moving to Washington, he covered startups and technology for Portfolio in New York.

J.D. is a native of Durham, North Carolina and a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
