Lieutenant General Jeff Kohler is President of JKohler Global, LLC. Lt. Gen. Kohler retired from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in 2007, after 34 years of distinguished service. His last military assignment was as the Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense (DSCA). In this position, he was responsible for the Department of Defense’s policy and management of U.S. Foreign Assistance (FMF), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Humanitarian Assistance. Under his leadership, sales of U.S. equipment and services averaged $17.6B while DSCA managed over 11,000 cases valued at over $220B. Lt. Gen. Kohler also served in several command positions and key U.S. and International staff positions. He is a command pilot with over 3,500 hours, primarily in fighter aircraft.
From 2008 to 2016, Lt. Gen. Kohler was the Vice President for International Business Development, and later Global Sales, for Boeing Defense, Space and Security. He was responsible for Boeing Defense’s international sales and marketing team that supported customers across the globe. Under his leadership, the team increased Boeing Defense’s international sales from less than 10% to over 30% of annual sales and revenue.
Lt. Gen. Kohler received a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in History from Indiana University. His professional leadership training includes Command and General Staff College and the Advanced Operational Studies Fellowship, Ft Leavenworth, KS; and National Security Leadership Studies, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.
