Kalyn Stephens, senior vice president of executive & strategic initiatives at the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), works across all departments on industry initiatives and alignment on organizational priorities. She also oversees the coordination of AHLA’s board of directors, the Executive Committee and associated committees, and key operational functions, including legal, human resources, and office administration.  

Stephens previously served as vice president of government affairs at AHLA focusing on human trafficking and travel and tourism. She also was director of corporate relations where she coordinated key activities and managed the board of directors.

Before joining AHLA, Stephens was events director and U.S. Senate liaison at the National Republican Senatorial Committee and worked at C2 Group, a government affairs consulting firm.

She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in marketing.
