Thursday, February 18, 2016 - 3:30pm

On February 18, the Chamber joined with the AmCham Myanmar Chapter, the National Foreign Trade Council, the US-ASEAN Business Council, and the United States Council for International Business on a joint letter to the Administration and the Congress supporting the further normalization of the U.S.-Myanmar relationship.  The letter noted the business community's support for positive steps taken by the Obama Administration and Congress to engage the government of Myanmar, and called on the Administration to let the  International Emergency Economic Powers Act sanctions lapse when they come up for renewal in May 2016.
