Dear Mr. President, Madam Speaker, and Senate Democratic Leader Schumer:

As representatives for millions of businesses and American workers who rely on sound infrastructure to move and grow our economy, we are grateful that you will soon meet to discuss transportation infrastructure funding. Solving the deepening infrastructure crisis requires strong leadership, and this moment creates an opportunity to build a lasting legacy that the American people will see, feel, and use for decades to come.

Attached is a letter signed by more than 330 organizations who represent a wide array of business and labor interests across the U.S. They cut across the political spectrum, forming an enormous base of support for a bipartisan infrastructure funding bill. Potholes and traffic congestion do not discriminate by political party.

We are hopeful your meeting will put America on course to achieving the long-term, stable and sufficient funding that our crumbling transportation infrastructure desperately needs. Revitalizing our infrastructure would raise the quality of life for all Americans, create good, well-paying American jobs, and serve as a critical component to maintaining our economic prosperity and competiveness around the world.

Sincerely,
