U.S. Chamber Letter on H.R. 2603, the “Northern Mariana Islands Small Business Act”

Dear Delegate Sablan:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports H.R. 2603, the “Northern Mariana Islands Small Business Act,” which is important, bipartisan legislation that would ensure that services provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration are available to entrepreneurs and small businesses in the Northern Mariana Islands.

The Chamber is the world’s largest business federation. It represents the interests of over 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. Our membership also consists of industry associations as well as state and local chambers, including the Saipan Chamber of Commerce. The majority of Chamber members are small firms. In fact, 96 percent of Chamber member companies have fewer than 100 employees and 75 percent have fewer than 10.
