Dear Chairman Wicker and Ranking Member Cantwell:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports the nomination of Stephen Dickson to be the next Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Filling this position is critical because of the important work being done at the FAA to support the world’s safest, most efficient aerospace system.

Mr. Dickson has a deep understanding of the aviation industry and the opportunities and challenges that face the FAA.  Mr. Dickson has proven, multifaceted leadership experience in aviation as a retired pilot for the United States Air Force as well as for a commercial airline. He has also worked with industry stakeholders to address the critical issue of air traffic control modernization.  These experiences would help him guide the FAA to improve safety and efficiency and modernizing the aviation system.

The Chamber urges the swift confirmation of Stephen Dickson to be the Administrator of the FAA.

Sincerely,

Neil L. Bradley
