Megan L. Brown, a partner in Wiley Rein LLP’s Telecom, Media & Technology practice, practices at the intersection of innovation and regulation. She litigates, responds to agency investigations, shapes policy, and develops compliance strategy under federal law, state consumer protection law, cybersecurity expectations, and international regimes. Experienced in wireless deployment and the Internet of Things, she practices before the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Commerce, the FTC, FCC, NIST, and NTIA.
Megan served in the Department of Justice as Counsel to two U.S. Attorneys General. She is on the Board of the Women’s High Tech Coalition, the U.S. Chamber’s Cybersecurity Leadership Council, and co-Chairs the Federal Communications Bar Association’s Privacy and Data Security Committee. Megan has received several awards, including recognition from the National Law Journal as a cybersecurity “Trailblazer.” Megan graduated from Harvard Law School and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She serves an appointee of Maryland Governor Hogan on judicial selection.
