New platform organizes federal, state, nonprofit and private sector programs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today launched a comprehensive new online resource center with funding programs, resources and guidance for small businesses struggling from the pandemic and waiting for Congress to provide further financial relief.

Launched amid Congressional inaction to provide additional, much-needed financial relief to Main Street, the Chamber’s Save Small Business Resources Center aggregates and organizes federal, state, and local financial assistance programs, emergency financial relief resources, and grant programs—as well as private sector programs—to help provide the assistance and guidance small businesses need right now.

“Small businesses continue to be disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and while there is no substitute for the much-needed congressional action, the U.S. Chamber is fully committed to helping small businesses get through this difficult time,” said Suzanne Clark, President, U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We hope these resources and tools help small businesses survive and bounce back stronger, so that they can continue to support the millions of families and communities that depend on them.”

The Save Small Business Resources Center contains information on 25 state-specific grant programs in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. Additionally, the site compiles and includes eligibility information on more than 15 corporations and nonprofits that have stepped up to provide assistance to small businesses, including programs led by Google, Salesforce, GoFundMe.org, and many others.

The U.S. Chamber will regularly update the resources center as additional programs and information become available.

This new platform joins a list of resources available to American workers and business from the Chamber, including but not limited to several “How to” guides for small businesses, reopening guides, resources on adapting and growing your business during COVID, and an international policy tracker. As part of the Save Small Business campaign, the Chamber is calling on every American to do their part to support the small businesses in their community and help them get through this difficult time.

“We all have an important role to play in seeing our local businesses through this,” said Clark. “Especially as we enter the holiday shopping season, we call on every American to support small business and shop small every day.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping American businesses respond to the coronavirus so they can support their employees, customers, and communities. Our members and the state and local chambers, who are on the front lines of this pandemic, need us now more than ever to help them through this significant disruption. We will continue working every day to help our country’s people, businesses, and economy weather this storm and emerge stronger—just as we have at other challenging times in our nation’s history.
