The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced the finalists for its annual Dream Big Awards, presented by MetLife, which celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honor their contributions to America’s economic growth.

“Small businesses are a vital sector of our economy. Every day small business owners wake up, work hard, and give their all. When small businesses thrive, our communities thrive, and that’s good for everyone,” said Tom Sullivan, U.S. Chamber vice president of small business policy. “The U.S. Chamber is proud to honor small businesses across the country who embody the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and significantly contribute to our country’s growth and prosperity.”

The Dream Big Awards program includes Business Achievement Awards to recognize excellence in six categories and reflect the leading businesses in each of the following areas: emerging, green/sustainable, minority-owned, veteran-owned, woman-owned, and young entrepreneur businesses.

This year’s finalists, selected from a record number of applicants, include:

Emerging Business Achievement Award

Green/Sustainable Business Achievement Award

  • Glen’s Garden Market – Washington, DC
  • Kaddas Enterprises – Salt Lake City, UT

Minority-Owned Business Achievement Award

  • Language on Demand – Annandale, VA
  • Southwest Office Systems, Inc. – Fort Worth, TX
  • Vistra Communications, LLC – Lutz, FL

Veteran-Owned Business Achievement Award

  • Delmarva Veteran Builders – Salisbury, MD
  • ScoutComms – Fredericksburg, VA
  • Strata-G, LLC – Knoxville, TN

Woman-Owned Business Achievement Award

  • Beary Cherry Tree – Metairie, LA
  • EvolveMKD – New York, NY
  • MotionMobs – Birmingham, AL

Young Entrepreneur Achievement Award

  • Campfire Industries – South Jordan, UT
  • Lil Ice Cream Dude LLC – Athens, GA

Dream Big Small Business of the Year Award

Award winners will be announced at the Dream Big Awards Gala on Wednesday, October 3 in Washington, D.C. as part of the2018 Small Business Summittaking place at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
