WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States Chamber of Commerce began a television ad campaign this week highlighting the job-creating efforts of U.S. Senate candidate Jim DeMint.

"American workers and the companies that employ them deserve a Congress that will support pro-growth policies," said Thomas J. Donohue, Chamber President and CEO. "Jim DeMint sees the big picture – that we need to unleash the job creation potential of U.S. businesses by reining in big government, lifting heavy-handed regulation and ending lawsuit abuse."

DeMint has the respect and backing of both state and national leaders and has earned an impressive 92 percent cumulative voting record with the Chamber through his three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. This current ad campaign was designed to recognize DeMint for his support of job creation and economic growth policies and for his commitment to advance a pro-growth agenda in Congress.

"With his experience as a business owner and as a current member of the House Small Business Committee, Jim DeMint knows how to fight for small businesses – the largest job-creating segment of our economy," said Donohue. "He has made the tough votes to support business, both large and small, on issues such as taxes, health care, and legal and regulatory reform."

According to the ads: "No one will do more for South Carolina's worker than Jim DeMint, creating jobs and economic security for our families. He's lowered taxes on working families to help create better jobs."

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation, representing more than three million businesses of every size, sector and region.
