U.S. Chamber Statement on Importance of Reauthorizing Export-Import Bank

Tuesday, June 30, 2015 - 9:00am

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs Bruce Josten issued the following statement on the importance of reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im):

“Ex-Im is one of the most important tools at the disposal of U.S. companies to level the playing field for trade finance as they seek to increase exports and create jobs at home. The Chamber is working to ensure American businesses have all the help they need to enhance their competitiveness and thrive in tough global markets.

“Given strong bipartisan support in both the House and Senate, we urge Congress to find an expeditious path forward on Ex-Im when members return in July.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
