WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) announced today the formation of its Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Working Group, issuing the following statement by C_TEC's Senior Vice President Tim Day:

“Artificial intelligence is transforming entire industries and dramatically impacting the way companies do business. The business community is well suited to address these novel policy challenges and opportunities arising from A.I. I appreciate each of the A.I. Working Group co-chairs and vice-chairs for their dedication to C_TEC's mission and the different perspectives they each bring to the table.”

The working group consists of a diverse set of industries and interests that will educate lawmakers and the public about the different types, uses, and policy issues associated with A.I., while advocating for policies that enable it to flourish. C_TEC’s A.I. Working Group’s co-chairs and vice-chairs include:

  • Addie Cooke, North America AI Policy Lead, Accenture (Co-Chair)
  • Pamela Walker, Senior Policy Analyst, Splunk (Co-Chair)
  • Lisa Fletcher, Senior Legal Counsel, Clarifai (Vice-Chair)
  • Mark O’Riley, Government and Regulatory Affairs, Emerging Technology Policy, IBM (Vice-Chair)
