Robert Pless is the Patrick and Donna Martin Professor and Chair of Computer Science at The George Washington University. Pless conducts research in computer vision with applications to environmental science, medical imaging, robotics, and virtual reality.

His research lab focuses on understanding visual change at scales from the sidewalk to the planet, studying next-generation imaging systems for virtual reality and robotics, and democratizing visual analytics with applications to social justice.

Pless has a B.S. in computer science from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park.
