Senior Director of Marketing, Sam’s Club

Sharonda L. Britton, is Sr. Director of Marketing, Strategic Alliances and Member Services for Sam’s Club, with a focus on growing and adding value to the Sam’s Club Membership. Previously Sharonda held the role of Director of Media Integrations and Strategic Partnerships and Director of Multicultural Marketing for Walmart Stores, Inc., where she was a founder and steering committee member for the Inaugural Bentonville Film Festival. Sharonda launched a very diverse career within the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and is an industry expert in shopper marketing and shopper insights. Her creative ideas and digital shopper marketing platforms were recognized in Shopper Marketing™ magazine and shared during various industry conferences. Sharonda recently led
Walmart’s multicultural efforts--a growing segment that is increasingly approaching $2 trillion in buying power. She has now transitioned into her new role within Sam’s Club focused again on strategic partnerships.


Sharonda has a passion for multicultural marketing with a concerted focus on the Hispanic, African-American and Asian consumers. Sharonda has been able to leverage her vast experience across general market and multicultural consumers using compelling insights to build campaigns, platforms, and strategic partnerships that celebrate Walmart’s diverse consumers and associates. In 2013 and 2016, Sharonda’s hard work and perseverance led to her being named as one of Black Enterprise Magazine’s Top Women in Marketing. She has also been recognized in Ad Age’s Top 40 Under 40 and recently iMedia’s annual list of the Top 25 cutting-edge creatives, strategists, and technology innovators.


A reoccurring theme throughout Sharonda’s career is her passion for the customer and the community. She is known for developing creative strategy and leading major event activations like the Essence Festival, Bentonville Film Festival and the NAACP Image Awards. In the past she has served on multiple boards to include Central Florida Urban League as the past Young Professional President, volunteering at local schools and her church.


Sharonda is a graduate of Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry, and has earned an MBA. Sharonda, her husband, and two children reside in Bentonville, AR.
