The South Asia team promotes trade and investment opportunities for U.S. companies in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. 

Our team works closely with Chamber members and government officials from the U.S. and respective countries in this region to advocate market-oriented reforms and strengthen commercial ties and American engagement in South Asia. Our staff advances the policy priorities of Chamber members through joint programs with leading business organizations, including AmChams and leadings local chambers of commerce of countries of this region.

Indo-Pacific Business Forum Highlights

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted three cabinet secretaries, five agency heads, 15 ambassadors, 20 embassies and 150 business leaders at the Indo-Pacific Business Forum on Monday in Washington. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry unveiled several new initiatives while outlining the Trump Administration’s Indo-Pacific vision.

U.S. Chamber Announces Government Award to Create Business Organization in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States Chamber of Commerce announced that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded $5.9 million to the Chamber's Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) to create a business support network in Afghanistan to promote that country's economic and civil development over the next three years.
