The Chamber of Commerce is launching a new salvo to bolster Republicans' threatened Senate majority, beginning a new, seven-figure ad campaign this week in support of three vulnerable GOP incumbents in races critical to determining which party controls the chamber.
The organization is launching TV ads this week in Maine, Colorado and North Carolina, according to details shared exclusively with POLITICO. The ads are all positive messages boosting Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Cory Gardner of Colorado and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, three of the senators facing the most competitive and expensive challenges from Democrats this cycle.
“Our members want us back on the field, and the stakes of this election are very high for the business community," said Scott Reed, the senior political strategist at the Chamber. Reed called these ads the "first wave" and said these particular races where were they thought they could have the "biggest impact early."
