Is this a paid internship?

Yes, all of our interns are paid a competitive salary, unless the intern elects to receive academic credit in lieu of monetary compensation.

Do I qualify for an internship after I have finished school or university?

In order to be eligible for an internship, the Chamber requires that you are either enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or law program.

When is the application deadline?

We will accept applications until we have filled all open positions.

Do you provide housing?

No, we do not provide housing for our interns, but we work closely with the WISH Foundation. WISH offers interns-only, fully furnished buildings on Capitol Hill and the Woodly Park neighborhood. All locations are near a metro stop, have Wi-fi, free laundry, and 24-hour emergency service. The Chamber of Commerce interns receive a 25% discount. For more information, visit www.internsdc.com.

Are international students eligible for an internship?

International students who are authorized to be employed in the United States are eligible for an internship at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.


Program Status

The application period for the Spring 2017 Internship Program is now open.  The dates of the spring program will begin on Friday, January 20, 2017 and will end on April 28, 2017. Please see the attached document for a list of internship opportunities.
