Robert (Bob) Rohrlack, DBA, CCE, is the President and CEO of The Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. The Tampa Bay Chamber is a past Florida Chamber of the Year and is a U.S. Chamber of Commerce 5 Star accredited Chamber. Only 1% of the Chambers in the U.S. have achieved this level of accreditation. With over 30 years in the chamber of commerce and economic development profession, he has worked at the local and state level to help local, regional, and state economies succeed. He received his Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida, Muma College of Business in 2019. He graduated from the Institute of Organizational Management, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, at the University of Georgia, where he also is on faculty for the program. He has served on multiple boards at the local, state and national level.
Bob has served as the Chairman of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) and serves on the Finance Committee for The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). He currently serves on multiple boards in the Tampa Bay region. He is a recipient of the FACP Florida Executive of the Year. He holds the Certified Chamber Executive designation from ACCE. Rohrlack has taught master’s degree and doctoral level courses at the University of South Florida as well as professional development courses at the University of Georgia/U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management and serves on the Southeast Board of Regents. He created the course “Bored, Boring or on Board: How to be an Impactful Board Member.”
In addition to his CEO responsibilities with the Tampa Bay Chamber, Rohrlack consults with chambers of commerce and membership organizations for strategic development with Pillar and Stone Strategies, LLC. ( www.pillarandstone.org) His award-winning research on membership organizations has been published in the International Journal of Management and Applied Science, Muma Business Review, American Journal of Management, and Southeast Case Research Journal.
