A graduate in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata UNLP and with a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University, USA, Carlos A. Ormachea has more than 40 years of experience with the Techint Organization. After 20 years of experience in the Industrial Sector of the group, in 2000 he took over the General Management of TGN (Transportadora de Gas del Norte) and since November 2003 he led Tecpetrol, a company that operates in the Energy sector, with activities of oil and gas exploration and production (E&P), gas transportation and distribution and electricity generation (G&P). 

He is currently a Director of Santa María S.A.I.F., Chairman of Tecpetrol and President of the Chamber of Hydrocarbon Producing Companies of the Argentine Republic.
