David Burritt

David Burritt has led U.S. Steel as President and CEO since 2017, guiding the company's "Best for All" strategy combining integrated and mini-mill steelmaking. Before U.S. Steel, he spent more than three decades at Caterpillar, retiring as CFO. Mr. Burritt earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1977 from Bradley University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 1990.Mr. Burritt serves on the board of directors of Lockheed Martin. He is also a member of The Business Council and a member of the G100.
