John Patteson is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships, reporting to the Chamber’s Executive Vice President and Chief Relationship Officer Elizabeth Baker Coffer and the Chamber’s Senior Advisor to the CEO and former Chief Operating Officer, Justin Waller and Chief Operating Officer.

John leads the Global Partnerships and Marketing team, which creates and executes custom thought leadership and market programs for partners, connecting them to the U.S. Chamber’s audiences. John also works across the organization focusing on global brand development, growth initiatives, new products, and other strategic projects. He works closely with Jay Sapsford to oversee the Global Intelligence Desk, including production of its anchor offering, The Call, a weekly interview series with expert guests focused on geopolitical risk.

Previously based in New York City, John has nearly 20 years of experience at media organizations, communications firms, and startups and small businesses. Prior to joining the Chamber, he was the SVP and General Manager of Hiltzik Strategies, a crisis communications and consulting firm. He previously served in strategy, operations, and business development roles at VICE Media, Univision, and Bloomberg Media. John started his career at Kekst & Company (now Kekst CNC), a leading M&A and strategic and financial communications firm.

John has an MBA from NYU Stern, and a BA in History from Columbia University. He currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two daughters.
