Teri Smiley, Owner of Starfish Partnerships, LLC has had a 29-year career at the Walton Chamber of Commerce serving as President. She started Starfish Partnerships, LLC in 2020 and officially launched in late 2022.
Just like the Starfish, as leaders, we must have the intuition and attentiveness to lead ourselves and those around us. Leadership is influence and it demands resilience, continuous personal and team development and growth. It is imperative that we dedicate time to this development.
Experience & Skillsets Include: 29+Years as President of a local chamber, Gallup Certified Clifton Strengths Coach, Certified John Maxwell Team Member, Team Building & Facilitation, Leadership Training and Management, Coaching & Consulting.
Teri is Past Chair of the Board of Regents of US Chamber Institute, Past Chair of the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (GACCE), a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive and one of her greatest honors was being named GACCE Executive of the Year in 2015.
The mission of Starfish Partnerships is to make a difference in the lives of others, one person and one group at a time. Through Starfish Partnerships, Teri offers chamber specific and non-profit board and staff training, leadership and personal development training, Clifton Strengths workshops, speaking and retreat facilitation for boards, staff and leadership groups.
Teri is married to Kenny Smiley, has 3 adult children, 4 beautiful
granddaughters, and a super cute grandson. The oldest granddaughter, Cali, has been with Teri and Kenny since birth and is now a bonus daughter after Kenny & Teri adopted her in 2022. In Teri’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, learning, and traveling.
