America is facing a workforce crisis hiding in plain sight. Long-term demographic shifts, including slowing population growth, an aging workforce, and decades of stagnant immigration policy, are now colliding with the demands of a growing economy. Employers across nearly every sector are struggling to fill millions of open jobs, putting pressure on supply chains, domestic investment, and America's ability to compete globally.

The last time the U.S. meaningfully updated its immigration programs, the internet didn't exist. The world has changed dramatically since then. The needs of businesses have too.

If America is to achieve sustained 3% economic growth, it needs the workforce to match. That means investing in education and training for American-born citizens, and it means modernizing legal immigration so employers can fill critical gaps at every skill level.

That's the mission of the American Alliance for Workforce and Border Security: a coalition of employers, associations, and state and local chambers united around a simple principle: America's immigration system must uphold the rule of law and ensure the economy has the workers it needs to grow. With the border now secure, the Alliance is focused on what comes next.

Its priorities are targeted and practical:

  • Sustaining border security and system credibility
  • Modernizing employment-based immigration programs to address persistent labor shortages
  • Equipping employers with reliable, modern tools to verify work eligibility and comply with the law

By bringing together stakeholders from across industries and the political spectrum, the Alliance is advancing solutions that strengthen America's workforce, support economic growth, and secure the nation's long-term competitiveness.

The time to act is now.
