Kyra Chambers

Kyra Chambers is the Associate Manager of Operations for the U.S.-Africa Business Center at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she brings nearly a decade of experience in operations, program management, and event execution, along with a strong academic and professional background in international relations and U.S.-Africa policy.
In her role, Kyra leads strategic operations for the U.S.-Africa Business Center and supports coordination across the Center’s teams and priorities. Kyra manages key operational portfolios for the Center, strategics policy dialogues, membership coordination, finances, and engagement with the Chamber’s network of accredited American Chambers of Commerce across Africa. With deep experience in program and event management, Kyra helps drive the strategic development and execution of U.S.-Africa Business Center engagements that advance the commercial relationship between the United States and African countries. In addition, she oversees the U.S.-Africa Business Center’s fellowship program, helping support emerging professionals and strengthen the Center’s capacity for policy, programming, and stakeholder engagement. She plays a central role in strengthening the Center’s internal systems, managing cross-functional processes, and helping ensure that the team is positioned to deliver high-impact programming and engagement with business, government, and diplomatic stakeholders.
Before joining the U.S. Chamber, Kyra strengthened her expertise in convening diverse stakeholders, managing complex programs, and supporting initiatives at the intersection of policy, international affairs, and public engagement at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the University of Maryland.
Kyra is a double graduate of the University of Maryland. She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics, with a concentration in international relations and a joint minor in African American Studies and Women’s Studies. Her academic background and professional experience inform her commitment to advancing stronger U.S.-Africa partnerships through strategic operations, thoughtful engagement, and effective program execution.
