Lindsay Burton

Lindsay (Cates) Burton is the Director, Communications at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she leads communications strategy for member partnership campaigns. Recent work includes developing and executing strategic communications campaigns around strengthening disaster resilience, preparing the future workforce, providing AI training for small businesses, and promoting various economic research products. Her role also includes leading communications for the U.S. Chamber's small business advocacy programs including the CO—100: America's Top 100 Small Business awards and the U.S. Chamber Small Business Council.
Lindsay was a 2023 winner of the U.S. Chamber's Shared Purpose Award for exemplifying the organization's core values of accountability, partnership, commitment, and integrity.
Lindsay began her career as a writer and editor at U.S. News and World Report. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Washington and Lee University.
