In recognition of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the U.S. Chamber released two reports highlighting the important role that businesses and nonprofits play in combating human trafficking. The reports showcase how cross-sector partnerships help prevent exploitation, support survivors, and advance innovative solutions.
The first report, How Companies and Nonprofits Partner to Combat Human Trafficking, examines how businesses and nonprofits leverage their distinct strengths to address trafficking through supply chain traceability, public awareness campaigns, community outreach, job training, and wraparound services for survivors. Through case studies, the report demonstrates how collaboration between the private and nonprofit sectors drives meaningful progress in countering trafficking and supporting its victims.
The second report, How the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and A21 Are Uniting Business and Government to End Human Trafficking, summarizes the Counter-Trafficking Freedom Summit and Joint Awards Ceremony hosted in November 2025 by the U.S. Chamber and A21, an anti-human trafficking organization.
The event convened business leaders, advocates, and experts who discussed emerging strategies to fight trafficking, including the use of technology to identify perpetrators and assist victims.
The event recognized four organizations for their leadership and measurable impact in the fight against modern-day slavery: Counter Forced Labor Technologies, In-N-Out Burger, Marriott International, Inc., and Sanctuary Project.
Together, both reports underscore a shared message: Meaningful progress against human trafficking requires collaboration across sectors, with businesses, nonprofits, policymakers, and communities working together to create lasting change.
