The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Türkiye Business Council Next Generation Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind professional network connecting talented students and young professionals in the United States from leading universities with companies in both countries. The fellowship focuses on career growth, development, and fostering lasting people-to-people ties needed to fuel the next generation of business leaders working between the United States and Türkiye.

Purpose and Need
Türkiye ranks among the top 20 source countries for international students in the United States with 9,413 Turkish students enrolled in the 2024–25 academic year, a 5.7% increase, the highest growth rate in over 15 years. The U.S. is also the #1 destination for Turkish university graduates seeking careers abroad, reflecting strong demand in engineering, computer science, business, and economics.
In recent years, students from American universities have more than doubled in Türkiye. The U.S. Embassy in Türkiye specifically noted this trend out as evidence that "Türkiye is becoming a regional leader in education and innovation."
With Türkiye’s robust G20 economy, NATO anchor, and strategic location, the country is a hub for U.S. businesses in sectors including energy, technology, manufacturing, defense, and finance.
Working with leading universities and private sector companies, the U.S.-Türkiye Business Council Next Generation Fellowship is building a talent pipeline of qualified workforce with experience in the United States to gain exposure to professional development, internships and employment, either in the United States or in Türkiye.
The Fellowship program will develop a focused, sustainable network to link students and young professionals to U.S. and Turkish businesses to empower the next generation of business successes bridging both countries.
