LEXINGTON — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce convened business and community leaders today, as part of its Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, at Forcht Bank in partnership with Commerce Lexington for a roundtable discussion on housing affordability and the local solutions needed to expand housing supply and support workforce growth. Participants also discussed how permitting delays and tariff-driven cost increases are affecting businesses and slowing economic growth.
The event brought together Commerce Lexington, U.S. Chamber Vice President of the Great Lakes Region Kevin Courtois, and local business leaders.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.
The Opportunity Tour is a part of the U.S. Chamber’s New Fight for Free Enterprise initiative, a multi-year strategic effort to defend, protect, and promote free enterprise.
