Technology is changing the way we work in our country—which is requiring everyone from policymakers to private companies to evaluate how we supply the 21st century workforce with the skills necessary to compete in a global economy. In order to ensure that our growth also fuels economic success for our American workforce, we need a new social contract that relies on transformational thinking outlined in the Opportunity Project.

To kick off these conversations, the tech sector has come together under the leadership of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) to form a New Economy Working Group aimed at tackling these issues. The New Economy Working Group will explore issues and dynamics of tech marketplace models in the sharing, gig, and on-demand economies and evaluate their impact on the American workforce.

The New Economy Working Group’s kickoff event will feature a keynote from Department of Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, a polling presentation by Morning Consult, and a preview C_TEC’s 2018 new economy policy agenda from the New Economy Working Group co-chairs Expedia and Postmates.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 21.
