During his confirmation hearing, Mr. McMaster demonstrated a clear vision for improving our nation’s surface transportation network of roads, bridges, and tunnels that are essential for the safe and efficient movement of people and goods. Investing in, and enhancing this infrastructure is crucial to America’s business community and our global competitiveness. We urge the Senate to swiftly consider Mr. McMaster’s nomination and look forward to collaborating with him upon his confirmation.
Mr. McMaster’s experience in both the federal government and as an industry practitioner equips him with the skills and knowledge to help streamline and improve project delivery timelines. He understands the connection between our federal surface transportation funding programs and our nation’s economic competitiveness and is well positioned to form the critical partnerships necessary with industry and with state and local governments—all crucial for ensuring infrastructure meets the needs of American families and businesses.
