For the first time in its history, the B20 Summit is coming to the United States. Hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the B20 USA Summit will bring thousands of business leaders, CEOs, policymakers, and international delegates to Washington, D.C., November 9–11, for three days of conversations focused on strengthening the global economy and advancing opportunities for growth.
With economies representing 85% of global GDP and two-thirds of the world’s population, the B20 serves as a powerful platform for business leaders to shape the global economic agenda and advance policies that drive investment, innovation, and growth.
The summit represents the culmination of a yearlong effort led by B20 USA Co-Chairs Suzanne P. Clark, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Ross Perot Jr., alongside B20 USA Sherpa Kevin Brady. Together, they have brought business leaders from across the world together to advance policies that support economic growth, competitiveness, and investment.
Those policies are reflected in the B20 Leaders Statement, which developed focused, practical recommendations in four areas: economic growth, innovation, trade and energy. The Leaders Statement was developed by Task Forces led by Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel (Economic Growth), David Zapolosky, Chief Global Affairs and Legal Officer of Amazon (Innovation), Jim Fitterling, Executive Chairman of the Board of Dow (Trade), and Scott Strazik, CEO and President of GE Vernova (Energy).
Previewing the B20 Summit
At the B20 USA Summit, we are expecting nearly 5,000 business leaders, policymakers and international delegates from nearly 100 countries, with more than 90 leaders speaking across the program.
The B20 agenda features prominent business executives, government officials and international leaders discussing everything from trade and energy security to technology, investment and the next drivers of economic growth at The Anthem. Featured speakers include Carol B. Tomé of UPS, Gary Cohn of IBM, Tom Wilson of Allstate, Kate Johnson of Lumen Technologies, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Isiah Thomas of Isiah Enterprises, and many more. The gathering will reflect the B20’s international reach, bringing together perspectives from economies representing approximately 75% of global trade. Senior government officials and international leaders, including WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will join conversations on the economic issues facing global business.
More about the B20
The B20 action will extend beyond the main stage at The Anthem. The B20 Stage at District Pier will feature live broadcasts, sponsored programming and B20 conversations that bring global perspectives directly to attendees. As host, the U.S. Chamber will turn The Wharf into a B20 Village, with 14 different venues creating opportunities for people to hear great content, but also to meet, build relationships, make connections and conduct real business and investment.
The POLITICO Pub at Pearl Street Warehouse will host live interviews, fireside conversations and opportunities to connect with influential voices in business and policy. Meanwhile, the U.S. Chamber’s International team has built 20 additional convenings with more than 1,000 confirmed guests, bringing together government officials and business leaders from around the world.
From the main stage to the waterfront, the B20 USA Summit held November 9-11 will create opportunities for business and policy leaders to exchange ideas, build partnerships and turn dialogue into action.
