DUBLIN, IRELAND– Marjorie Chorlins, executive director of the U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-UK Business Council, issued the following statement following the announcement of a Brexit deal. Chorlins is currently leading a delegation of Council member companies in London and Dublin this week where they are meeting with senior UK and Irish officials.

“We welcome the news that a deal has been reached in principle. We believe there is reason for optimism, though additional details are needed. Hurdles still remain, and we will continue to watch the process carefully in the next few days. As we have stated previously, a no deal Brexit is unacceptable to U.S. investors and exporters, and any deal that is struck must include a suitable transition period.”
