U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum: Choices for Growth
The first-annual U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum, hosted by the Chamber in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, took place on July 13, 2015, in Washington, D.C. Participants included high-level government and business leaders from both countries. The second Business Forum was held in June 2016 when the Chamber hosted Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
The Forum aims to advance the Ukrainian economy through a series of high-level discussions focused on including Ukraine in global value chains and the further development of its market.
Central Asia
On August 3rd, 2016, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted a cultural reception with the five foreign ministers from the states of Central Asia. This historic event - marking the first time cabinet-level ministers from all five Central Asian nations came together to engage the wider community of U.S. businesses - celebrated the unique cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of Central Asia and its ancient and modern linkages with the global market.
A private roundtable was also held on the margins of this event between the U.S. Chamber, U.S. government officials, and the Ministers from the five Central Asian states.
We will continue to collaborate with Central Asia and will offer meaningful engagements on a recurring basis. Future engagements will be in the form of roundtables and high-level dialogues.
