TO THE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly supports the nomination of Dana Baiocco to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

There is no doubt that Ms. Baiocco is well-qualified for her appointment. Ms. Baiocco has for many years been an attorney in private practice with a strong focus on recalls and product safety issues.

The 2026 State of American Business

Discover what U.S. Chamber President and CEO Suzanne Clark and leading business leaders are saying about the state of the economy and the top issues shaping the domestic and global business landscape in 2026 and beyond.

Beyond her qualifications, however, it is crucial for the vacancies on the five-member Commission to be filled to enhance the ability of CPSC to ensure decisions are based on sound science and sensible regulation.

The Chamber urges the Senate to consider and approve Ms. Baiocco’s nomination as expeditiously as practicable.

Sincerely,

Neil L. Bradley
