“Fred Smith was one of the great innovators of our time. His idea for reliable overnight delivery changed commerce and changed the world.
A consummate entrepreneur, his founding of FedEx transformed global logistics, helped connect the world through strengthened supply chains, and created countless jobs and opportunities for American workers and businesses.
He was a passionate advocate for the free enterprise system, and the U.S. Chamber was grateful for his longstanding support and wise counsel.
We join his many friends and colleagues in mourning his loss and send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”
