Bill Little served on the U.S. Chamber and the U.S. Chamber Foundation boards for a remarkable 27 years, directly shaping the modern-day Chamber as we know it.
He played an instrumental role in bringing on Tom Donohue as CEO in 1997 and helped the Chamber team forge a new era of revitalization. As chair of the board from 1998 to 1999, he provided the wise counsel and strong support needed to expand the Chamber’s voice and influence in Washington, and beyond.
Bill then shared his expertise with the Foundation, first as chair of what was then called the National Chamber Foundation. In 2012, he led the transition of four legacy affiliate organizations into the one U.S. Chamber Foundation we have today, and he served as its chair until 2021.
Beyond his dedication to the American business community through his Chamber service, he was a business leader in his own right. He was president and CEO of the Quam-Nichols Company in Chicago, a manufacturer of commercial and industrial audio products.
All of us at the Chamber send his family, friends, and loved ones our deepest condolences during this time of loss.
