WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today announced that veteran political campaign operative Ashlee Rich Stephenson will join the nation’s largest business advocacy organization as Vice President and Political Director for the U.S. Chamber’s Voter Education Program.

“As the country prepares to go to the ballot box in 2020, we are excited to have Ashlee on board,” said Scott Reed, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Chief Political Strategist. “Her background working on high level campaigns and expertise in data and polling will help strengthen the Chamber’s voter outreach on pro-growth policies that will benefit consumers and workers across our nation.”

Stephenson will direct the Chamber’s voter education program, spotlighting and supporting pro-growth candidates for House and Senate and helping voters understand where they stand on the issues that matter to business.

Stephenson joins the Chamber following her most recent role as Principal and Chief Strategy Officer at WPA Intelligence. She also worked on four Presidential campaigns, including serving as the Polling Director for Mayor Giuliani’s 2008 campaign; consulting for the Romney for President campaign by moderating focus groups among independent women in swing states (2012); and serving on political strategy teams for Governor Scott Walker and Senator Ted Cruz’s 2016 efforts.
