Energy powers economic growth. It keeps nations moving and people prospering. Demand for energy and the supporting infrastructure is rapidly increasing driven by widescale electrification, technological expansion, and growing consumer need for power. At the same time, recent supply disruptions remind us that energy security is also critical for global security. The private sector stands ready to meet these opportunities and challenges but needs governments to accelerate permitting and co-invest alongside industry to build the energy systems needed for tomorrow’s demands.
The Task Force priorities include:
- Strengthening global energy security through inputs and infrastructure
- Promoting energy abundance through a diversified and affordable energy mix
- Meeting surging power demand from AI & industry, and evolving the grid
- Enabling energy infrastructure through permitting, cross-border investment, and workforce development
Each nation’s path to the future of energy will reflect its own resources, markets, and circumstances. But the B20's ambition is shared: to provide more secure, affordable, and abundant energy that is built faster with lower emissions and is accessible to all.
