The U.S. Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) supports H.R. 3699, the Energy Choice Act and urges the Subcommittee to favorably report it.
The Energy Choice Act aims to establish a fair and balanced energy market by ensuring equal access for all energy sources, preventing states or localities from favoring certain options while disadvantaging others.
This approach safeguards the reliability and affordability of energy, which are essential to driving economic growth. When state or local governments restrict access to specific energy sources, it disrupts affordability, undermines reliability, and ultimately hinders economic progress.
We applaud Congressman Langworthy for his leadership on this issue and encourage the Subcommittee to favorably report H.R. 3699.
