WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today issued the following statement in response to the Senate's announcement of a bipartisan permitting reform deal:
"The Senate's progress toward a comprehensive, bipartisan permitting reform deal brings us one step closer to streamlining the outdated process that is holding up critical projects of all kinds, from energy and water infrastructure to roads, broadband, and manufacturing,” said Rodney Davis, senior vice president and head of government affairs at the U.S. Chamber. “We appreciate the leadership of Senators Capito, Whitehouse, Lee, and Heinrich to bring us to this point, and now we urge swift action in Congress to get this bill to the President’s desk as soon as possible.”
